We are seeking a Director, Investor Relations for our Foster City Campus.

The Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of communication campaigns for the Investor Relations group. This is a dynamic and critical role that will deliver content in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Write and shape investor communications such as press releases and executive scripts
  • Developing and executing communications strategies to advance key initiatives
  • Manage earnings call process and coordinate deliverables with Finance, Legal, and Public Affairs
  • Support scientific conferences - work cross functionally to push out information to analysts/investors
  • Work closely with the Treasury group to support capital initiatives including meetings with fixed income investors and ratings agencies
  • Prepare presentations for investor conferences
  • Manage retail/broker investor program
  • Support on campus meetings with investors
  • Support the annual shareholder meeting
  • Develop/maintain IR section of corporate website


Skillset:

Possesses excellent attention to detail, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Understands and interprets moderately complex financial statements and valuation models. Must be able to independently write clear, concise and error-free documents. Develops moderately complex documents such as press releases, earnings call materials, and external company presentations. Ability to lead meetings; work cross-functionally; respond effectively to information requests; deliver clear, cohesive presentations; has excellent presentation skills.

Specific Education and Experience
  • Typically requires a BA degree in Finance, Science or relevant field and minimum 7 years of relevant experience or an MBA
  • Proficiency in Excel and creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulations governing communications preferred
  • Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry and investor relations are a plus
  • Public affairs or Government Affairs experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred
