Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Facility Management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Business Administration. Certification in Facility Management and/or Project Management. * 10+ years of experience in facility operations including 5+ years of staff management, or equivalent combination of Education and experience. * Project management experience. Building design and/or Construction management experience a plus. * Operational Excellence Training and experience (Lean/Six Sigma, etc) a plus. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Team Leadership, mentoring, project management, and analytical skills. * Computerized Maintenance Management and CAFM experience. * MS Office, MSProject and Financial management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Global Corporate Real Estate, the role of the Corporate Facilities Manager will be to: * Review facility management practices throughout the corporation and develop standards of performance to ensure cost-effective operations at all sites, whether or not they are directly managed by your staff. * Plan and manage all building and grounds maintenance for our headquarters campus and entire Northern California region totaling approx. 1 million square feet of built space. * Measure building performance using robust performance metrics and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies * Areas of responsibility include all preventive and reactive building and site maintenance and services includingSecurity, janitorial and pest control services, and execution of small to mid-size capital projects. * Manage the Maintenance Supervisor and oversee the work of in-house maintenance employees and contract service providers. Mentor staff and develop high-potential employees. * Manage vendors and recommend improvements. Audit and approve billing to authorized limits. * Recommend vendor and contract service provider selection, developing the means and measures for selection. Analyze quotes to present options and recommendations. Provide point of control between Consultants and the Company. * Utilize Life-Cycle-cost analysis to ensure cost-effective operations. * Prepare and manage operating budgets and track costs for building operations and capital improvement projects. Review all facility related invoices. Ensure that operations and projects meet Company's expectation of quality and cost. Track expenses and recommend cost savings. * Respond to building and equipment alarms and emergency situations. Act as a conduit of information for upper management and communicate with all employees in emergency situations, power or other building service disruptions. * Review worldwide Insurance audits and oversee implementation of recommended improvements. * Lead peers throughout the corporation and share best-practices. * Foster innovation and a culture of Continuous Improvement within Facilities Organization. * Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
