Executive Communications Manager
Executive Communications Manager with a positive, “can-do” attitude to join the
Executive Communications team supporting
Engineering co-leaders Padmasree Warrior and Pankaj Patel. Partners seamlessly with the team to manage and coordinate the planning, scheduling, development, execution and measurement of the
Engineering Co-Leadership
Executive Communications program and deliverables. This self-starter must have excellent planning and project management skills, and the ability to function effectively under pressure and deliver superior results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include:
•Contribute to the successful execution of
Engineering Co-Leadership
Executive Communications plan across multiple channels.
•Manage operating processes, including planning, scheduling and content development, for all internal and external
Engineering co-leadership speaking and other leadership engagement opportunities.
•Compile or create executive briefing materials and presentations, special writing assignments and projects for U.S. and international event assignments.
•Manage Executives' participation in approved events, providing a consolidated view of the executives' participation. This will be accomplished by interlocking with content owners,
Media and analyst relations, investor relations, customer communications, business and marketing leadership across Cisco.
•Oversee event planning details including: itineraries, briefing materials, marketing collateral,
Support from regional stakeholders, content owners,
Security personnel, press, conference organizers, etc.
•Manage schedules and deadlines effectively to ensure all milestones and deliverables are met.
•Staff and provide on-site
Support for Executives' event participation as necessary.
Qualifications
•Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work seamlessly within a broader team to achieve desired results.
•Expert knowledge and experience in program and project management.
•Excellent written and verbal communication.
•Experience interacting with and supporting SVP- or C-level executives.
•Ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and simultaneously managing multiple projects.
•Experience with communications strategy and content development.
•Minimum 6-8 years communications and/or
Public Relations experience.
•Strong planning and negotiating skills.
•Proven ability to anticipate needs and initiate action
•Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work across many virtual and global teams.
•Demonstrates sound judgment and independent thinking as well as an ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in real-time.
•Practical knowledge of social
Media applications; proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
•Bachelor’s degree in
Marketing Communications, Public Relations, English or related field.
Knowledge, Experience and SkillsExperienced - Non Manager
