Support of Cisco’s and Engineering’s overall strategy.
Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group
The Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group (CSMTG) is a newly formed Group (Nov 2011) led by Rebecca Jacoby, CIO & SVP CSMTG. CSMTG is responsible for realigning many of Cisco and Partner software assets and control points that will help us gain market share in the highly important Cloud, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) markets. This includes common software components such as network services director, service catalog (e.g. newScale), device abstraction layers, orchestration, provisioning, job scheduling, service composition and virtualization modules, service assurance and billing/metering.
The Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group is part of Cisco’s
Engineering function, and has almost 800 employees based across the globe. CSMTG is formed from a number of Business Units within
Engineering and Services, namely:
•Network Management Technology Group (NMTG) under the new leadership of Jamie Lerner, responsible for making the operation and management of these networks as smooth as possible. Whether the customer is running a small business, a large enterprise or a service provider network, NMTG provides the tools and manageability they need to get the job done.
•Intelligent Automation Solutions BU (IASBU) led by Flint Brenton,
•Service Delivery Platform (SDP) with the appropriate team transitioning within this FY.
This includes delivering the following activities
•Develop CSMTG ‘point of view’ (PoV) in line with
Engineering functional and Cisco messages
•Partner with organization communications,
Public Relations, analyst relations and investor relations to create an integrated communication plan in
Support of this POV.
•Ensure overall CSMTG communications strategy is successfully executed across multiple channels in partnering organizations in partnership with
Engineering Internal Comms (Alignment with other
Engineering Teams, Corp Communications – including IT Comms,
Sales, Services,
Marketing & Boards )
•Manage strategic calendar and speaker placement planning process, including incoming event and speaking requests for leader of CSMTG
•Manage video requests / shoots / scheduling and studio
•Manage written requests and special writing assignments.
•Create event briefs, materials, presentations, PoV web, blog and new
Media updates.

Education:
Typically requires BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or equivalent plus 10+ years of related experience in
Marketing or Communications. Previous experience working with senior executives highly desired.
