The Principal Programmer Analyst reports to the Development Team lead and is responsible for the development and testing of customizations, including pages, menus, workflow, self-service components, batch jobs, reports and queries. The incumbent will also carry out the data conversion following the conversion framework which consists of performing extracts from multiple source systems, translating and applying converted data to target tables, and developing reconciliation queries and reports as described in the data conversion plan. The position is responsible for coding and testing all data interface modules between internal and external systems using communications tools appropriate to the interface. The incumbent conducts code reviews, develops unit and system testing plans, and executes work plans for applying updates and patches. Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive, results oriented environment is critical.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of Training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain this would be:
Over five years comprehensive PeopleSoft development including SQR, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, Application Engine, PeopleTools 8.4x, Workflow, PeopleSoft Infrastructure, Process Scheduler, PeopleSoft Query
Experience in PeopleSoft HCM system and module functionality, customization, and testing strategies
Solid understanding of Oracle and SQL Server relational databases, interface and architectureknowledge, data security
Experience with structured design techniques, including data model
Experience with data conversion from other HR/Payroll applications
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
