Specific Responsibilities

Component Quality & Technology group's vision is to "provide best-in-class component quality & technology solutions for Cisco's products."

As a technical leader with strong expertise and experience in Semiconductor Component Technology, the candidate will be responsible for working closely with our top semiconductor suppliers, Hardware Engineering Teams in CDO and GSM to influence suppliers' semiconductor component designs to align their roadmap with Cisco's next gen product and technology needs
- Qualify new components in assigned commodities to ensure successful design and delivery of new components to meet next gen product and customer needs
- Provide innovative solutions to minimize the impact of application dependent performance, quality and reliability constraints
- Interface with component suppliers to drive technology alignment, product qualification, failure analysis and closed-loop corrective actions as needed.
- Drive component qualification in Cisco via PCN/MCN process. Manage and maintain the AVL and component information. Contribute to the development of Cisco's Commodity Management Strategy
-Act as a technical lead focal point for component quality/performance issues and enable successful resolution through effective collaboration with CDO(Eng'g), Product Operations, commodity management, and business partners (suppliers).

Skills Required:
- Thorough understanding of Semiconductor IC design and Manufacturing processes and tools.
- Technical knowledge of semiconductor components, fabrication, qualification, reliability, testing, characterization, failure analysis tools and techniques is required.
- Familiarity with Cisco product h/w Architecture and implementation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate cross functionally is a must.
- 8 to10 years of industry experience in Semiconductor Quality, Reliability, Process, Test and Product Engineering.
- BSEE is required. MSEE is preferred.
