Specific ResponsibilitiesOrganizational Communications Manager
The Organizational Communications Manager for the Video & Collaboration Group (VCG), based in San Jose, CA, will be responsible for developing and executing on communications that touch the entire organization’s employee audience or key segments within it, and for helping to create a positive and productive organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
-Develops organizational communications and employee engagement strategies, plans and messaging for the Video & Collaboration Group (VCG)
-Creates communications framework, foundation and frequency for internal communication across VCG leadership team
-Works with VCG HR on effective strategies to help VCG global employees feel connected to what is going on in San Jose
-Increases the number of ways to reach the VCG internal audience by developing new communications channels
-Manages on-going audience analysis - designs and leads quantitative and qualitative research projects, delivering actionable analysis and metrics
-Designs and implements acquisition integration communications in close cooperation with HR and incoming communications team
Skills Required
-Expertise in internal communications
-Strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to operationalize team processes and ensure alignment and consistency of communication best practices
-Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into creative and compelling communications vehicles for an
Engineering audience
-10+ years experience managing complex projects and developing creative strategies to communications challenges; experience managing subordinates
-Good grasp of technology
-Great team player and leader - has history of successful team management and collaboration with other communication departments to deliver high impact communications
-Flexible and resilient problem solver
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Solid presentation and PowerPoint skills
Education
-BA/BS in Communications or related field plus 10+ years of relevant experience
-Knowledge of networking or Communications IT industry
-Change Management background a plus
