Wealth Management Regional Manager I

Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the attainment of WMD region growth, productivity, and profitability goals through the development of an effective staff and through personal efforts. Manages a team of Wealth Management professionals across multiple geographic markets in a region. Ensures retention and expansion of client base through proactive client relationship and Sales management practices. Delivers results, particularly revenue growth in offices supervised, in a focused, disciplined manner. Manages a simple to moderately complex region.

Emphasis is on:
•Coaching professional staff in the identification of new business opportunities
•Ensuring the development and implementation of proactive client servicing plans
•Management of the Sales pipelines for new business prospects
•Development of a direct, personal relationship with all first-tier clients
•Spearheading of efforts to cross-sell WMD products through internal bank channels

Position Accountabilities

1.Develops, recommends and executes annual business plan goals and objectives for all WMD offices managed, including preparing and administering budgets.

2.Maintains an active program of calling on clients and prospects to achieve new business and client retention objectives.

3.Participates in the WMD Senior Management Committee, the Asset Management Policy Committee, and chairs the Regional Trust Administration Committee.

4.Oversees the appointment of relationship managers to new and existing clients, including facilitating cross-sell relationship management teams (trust, investment, RetailBanking, business/corporateBanking, etc.)

5.Participates in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank within designated marketplace.

6.Helps establish, communicate, and achieve service goals and standards, ensuring communication and comprehension by all staff.

7.Selects, coaches, evaluates and develops all office staff; coaches in areas of relationship management, sales, client service, professional development, and Wealth Management products and services.

8.Conducts regular staff meetings with staff to communicate information, recognize successes, discuss problems, and provide forum for staff to discuss pertinent issues.

9.Manages employees by establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance, and recommending individual merit, incentive and/or promotional increases.

10.Supports efforts to ensure compliance with all fiduciary,Legal, regulatory and credit requirements.

11.Prepares periodic reports for management and others as needed.

12.Assists in implementing WMD strategic direction.

13.Stays current with trust Accounting system functionality and reporting processes. Conducts or facilitates Training sessions to keep staff informed and updated on the system.

14.Stays current in Fiduciary and investment practices and laws.

15.Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Req Education or Equivalent Experience
•Bachelor’s degree
•Vocational/specialized training

Pref Education or Equivalent Experience
•CFP, CFA or CTFA certifications
•Advanced degree

Required Experience
•Minimum 7 – 10 years of specialized Wealth Management experience, such as in the fields of trust administration, investment management, or private banking
•Minimum 2 years as a manager

Field of Experience
•Advanced knowledge of all consumer and business services and products for high net worth individuals and related businesses
•Thorough understanding of Financial planning concepts, including trust/estate planning, tax planning, investments, Insurance and custom credit.
•Fluent in data management from trust Accounting system
