Skills and Experience:
Education: BA/BS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 5 years of experience in a FDA regulated environment. Must have at least 3 years of Quality Control experience.
Skills: Ability to lead and coordinate work in a product team and make decisions related to product quality. Advanced knowledge and experience with Bio-analyzers and handling and usage of chemicals. Experience in leading projects or teams. Experience in dealing with compliance issues and other problems, and supplying feasible solutions. Ability to appropriately interact with various departments to resolve production related issues. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices. Ability to self-motivate and execute product release in a timely manner. Requires a working knowledge of Computer software programs such as Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities: Follow established protocols and SOP's to test kits and components for QC acceptability. Evaluate assayed runs for acceptability and initiate OOS and NCR's for product related failures. Create and revise procedures. Perform test method development.
